1. So let's start from the beginning, how did you acquire your musical super powers?

A. I got my first guitar when I was in 5th grade and played it for a little bit in and out up until high school when I got really into punk rock music and started listening to those sort of bands and started wanting to pursue music a lot more coming from a background of skateboarding, bmx, and snowboarding it was hard to fall into that sort of music. I started playing shows when I was in High school and when I graduated HS I went straight down to the basement and started booking a tour. Skipped college and went straight to the road haha .. feels like I've been living on it ever since.

2. What made you want to get tattoos? How old were you when you got your 1st?

A. I was 17 years old when I got my first tattoo. I somehow convinced my mom to let me get it and she didn't realize that, since she signed consent, I was still able to go back and be tattooed. I remember skipping school and going back to the tattoo shop to get my second tattoo ha!

Florida Georgia Line Welcomes Jimmie Deeghan!

3. Any special stories or meaning behind your ink?

A. It's really all across the board .. from funny to sentimental. One of my favorite tattoos is just a simple '+' on my left hand that I got as a daily/life reminder to keep a positive state of mind all the time. I believe in the law of attraction and in the universe and nothing but good vibes.

4. You have a pretty powerful stage presence, do you channel any rock gods while performing?

A. hahaha something that I think has helped me out through my time playing shows is the fact that I've done it for as long as I can remember and I love putting on a show .. I want people to go home thinking.. 'that was nuts!' Music is such a powerful thing and I remember going to concerts of my favorite bands and seeing them play a certain favorite song and then going home and always remember and seeing in my mind, the bands live performance while I listened to it on cd. If that makes sense haha. I just love playing music and I love rock and roll. I think FGL happens to have that Rock n Roll edge that was very welcoming for a player like me.

5. How did you get involved with FGL?

A. I actually started out as there guitar tech. When the singers weren't at soundcheck I'd walk out with one of there guitars and play along and soundcheck songs with there guitars and just kinda learned a lot of it so when it came time they needed someone to cover for another guitar player i jumped at the opportunity.. and luckily enough our other guitar player 'Taco' was trusting enough that I would get the job done. It was on a run where they had me filling in for about two months when they pulled a prank on me telling me I was fired but that they wanted me to start playing guitar in the band from then on.

6. Who is the prankster of the group?

A. I'd probably have to say paw paw (our drummer Sean) he is the biggest child I know. Always joking and always messing around.. i love it.

7. That announcement video was pretty funny, what was going through your head?

A. I think I just went blank... whenever people ask what I was thinking I try and remember and I just honestly think my brain shut down haha

8. What hobbies are you into during your free time?

A. My free time still all goes to music. I signed a publishing deal with our two singers about 4 months ago so I am constantly at home or in LA writing and recording demos working on landing songs on records etc. I'm also a HUGE dog lover and me and my girl just got our second pup.. a little labradoodle named 'Mali'. We've also got two year old rescue named 'Arie'.

A taste of their tunes

9. Any advice for aspiring guitar techs out there?

A. Work hard and be happy. Love what you do. I know a lot of people like to say 'it's not that easy' and at times it doesn't seem so easy.. but just rock what you know and learn every day.. learn the parts to the band's songs you're working for .. you never know when the band might need someone to lean on and it's way easier for them to trust somebody inside the camp at getting the job done right .. someone who is familiar on the day to day routines etc.

10. Where can our followers learn more about yourself and FGL?

A. Come on out to a show and see what it's about! it's a damn good time.
