Keeping The Art Of Hand-Poked Tattoos Alive

Keeping The Art Of Hand-Poked Tattoos Alive

March 10, 2017

Not many artists prefer this method, as it does take a lot longer and can be more painful. I myself have something of an appreciation for how they look, and I wanted to share two of my favorite artists with you.

Grace Neutral (pictured here) hails from London and has been keeping busy perfecting her hand-poked tattoo art. Her style is known for including animated characters from both Western and Japanese animation (like Hayao Miyazaki) and has been very well received.

Want to see more? Check her Tumblr out at  www.ahistoryofweedcraft.tumblr.com.

I promised you I had two, right? Bryan Thomas, an artist located in Tennessee USA, has been tattooing since 2002 and took up the practice of hand-poked tattoos in 2012. He's currently working on two different bodies of work and styles - the first featuring gem faceting patterns and the second one drawing from the geometry of a famous Knoxville landmark.

Check out some more of Bryan's work at http://www.handpoketattoos.com.

Got any more hand-poked artists you want us to check out? Let us know in the comments!
