Sadistik is a hip hop artist hailing from Seattle, WA. In a genre saturated with artists boasting about how cool they are Sadistik brings something new to the table; honesty. His rhymes feature stories of personal struggle and growth. Sadistik credits the anger that fuels West coast gangsta rap as an influence even though the situations described in those songs were very far from his own experiences. After exploring other sub-genres of hip hop Sadistik honed his skills for 8 years before recording his debut album The Balancing Act in 2008. The album received rave reviews from critics and fellow hip hop artists. Two years later Sadistik's genre defying sophmore effort The Art of Dying proved to fans and critics that he was just getting started. After extensive touring in both the U.S. and Europe Sadistik released 2013's Flowers For My Father. The rapper has described Flowers For My Father as the head space he was in after the passing of his father proving, once again, that his approach to songwriting is very different than some of his hip hop colleagues. July 1, 2014 will see the release of Sadistik's 4th album Ultraviolet which he says covers a lot of concepts that are masked by abstracts, metaphors, and imagery.
