Things Only Tattooed People Understand

There are some things you just don’t understand until you’ve spent a few hours in the chair.
Like saying “this is my last tattoo” and immediately thinking about the next one.
Or looking at a perfectly normal patch of skin and thinking...
Something needs to go there.
1. You Forget You’re Tattooed
At first, you look at your new tattoo every chance you get.
Then eventually, it just becomes part of you.
Sometimes it takes a stranger saying “I love your tattoos” to remind you how much ink you’re actually wearing.
2. “Did That Hurt?”
Yes.
Some spots hurt. Some spots really hurt.
And somehow, after all that...
we still book another appointment.
3. Not Every Tattoo Needs a Meaning
Some tattoos represent people, memories, or things we’ve been through.
Others?
We just thought they looked badass.
Both are good enough reasons.
4. Good Ink Isn’t Cheap
When someone asks how much you paid and looks at you like you’re crazy...
Tattooed people get it.
You're paying for the artist, the experience, the craft, and something you'll carry for the rest of your life.
Good ink is worth it.
5. Your Tattoos Become Part of You
That might be the biggest thing only tattooed people understand.
Over time, tattoos stop feeling like artwork sitting on your skin.
They become little pieces of your story.
Some have deep meanings. Some remind you of a certain time in your life. Some were questionable decisions that you still love anyway.
And there’s probably still room for one more...
